When in Montana I enjoy the serenity it offers.  I enjoy walking the back roads and trails with friends.

There is nothing more exciting then spotting wildlife on our walks.

I have a wide variety of interests.  When I am not sitting out on the deck reading or listening to the blues I am often on the computer trying to search out the family roots for both Ken and myself.  But when I need a break from that you'll find me out exploring and looking for interesting photos to take.

When I am in California I try to find peace and calm like in Montana, but it is a real challenge.

I have a "chosen" sister who lives in California.   When we get together it's like being teenagers again.  Poor Ken!

She comes up to Montana as often as she can and joins us on our sight seeing trips.

When I am in California my sister and I get together often for cards, laughter and the ballet.

This past winter we went to see The Nutty Nutcracker. A hilarious spoof  featured a zany storyline loosely based on the traditional Nutcracker.  Many surprises and wacky characters enter into this up beat holiday classic.

bv18.jpg (138593 bytes)

Then we went to see the annual holiday spectacular CHRISTMAS IS at the Haugh Performing Arts Center - Citrus college - Glendora CA

A holiday tradition at Citrus, and I hope to make it one of mine.  Christmas spirit abounds featuring the Citrus Singers and the entire music department.  Sumptuous scenery and costumes and glorious melodies of the holidays combine to make this event their most popular of the season.

In January I went to see the

WONDERFUL WIZARD: Harold Arlen

Starring ;  George Bugatti’s Three Crooners  /  Barbara Morrison  /  Sam Arlen

This was a celebration of the Arlen legacy tracing his career from the Cotton Club, through the Hollywood years, to the Broadway stage. George Bugatti’s Three Crooners, jazz and blues legend Barbara Morrison, and saxophonist/host Sam Arlen put on a grand show. And, of course, those wonderfully memorable songs: Somewhere Over the Rainbow, I’ve Got the World On A String, Come Rain Or Come Shine, The Man That Got Away, Paper Moon, Stormy Weather, and Old Black Magic – just to name a few!
George Bugatti's Three Crooner's (made up of George, Allister Tober, and Johnny K.) were terrific.  I hope to hear more from that trio.

For Valentine's Day I went to see

To Broadway, With Love
DALE KRISTIEN and Friends JORDAN BENNETT and his wife DOMINIQUE AVA with Citrus Blue Note Swing Orchestra

The “friends” who joined  Dale and Citrus’ own Blue Note Swing Orchestra were outstanding.  Dale Kristien has a beautiful voice, but Jordan Bennet put so much intense feeling in his songs he almost over shadowed Dale.  The show stopper for me was Dominique's violin performance.  A moving performance to say the least. If you have a chance to see these 3 don't miss them.

bv24.jpg (41871 bytes) Finally in March 6 of went to see THE LITTLE MERMAID performed by

          INLAND PACIFIC BALLET

Inland Pacific Ballet Company is in residence at Bridges Auditorium's elegant 2400 seat historic Opera House in Claremont CA

This spectacular production boasts magnificent sets (even a live shipwreck!) and ornate costumes which are a feast for the eyes.
